Jimi began his tenure at ABA over 5 years ago now based in the Melbourne studio. Prior to joining the ABA team in 2014, Jimi gained experience working across a variety of residential and urban projects in the United Kingdom.
Jimi’s approach to architecture traverses the conceptual and the pragmatic – as a Graduate Architect he is particularly focused on site responsive, environmentally conscious design and is passionate about ensuring the overarching design intent carries through into the finished building.
At ABA Jimi has worked across a broad range of projects and has been responsible for managing the design, documentation and visualisations of the Melbourne based projects. He is particularly interested in the intersections of architecture, urbanism and the natural environment as well as the social responsibility architects have to create better, more livable, more ecologically sustainable places.
Jimi has contributed more broadly to the architectural profession as a sessional design studio tutor at the University of Melbourne and through his writing and photography for various publications including The Conversation & The Guardian.
