Binnum – Warwick
"Binnum" in Warwick is a much loved country homestead in the southern down’s
Within a 2 hour drive from Brisbane, “Binnum” in Warwick is a much loved country homestead in the southern down’s.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Condamine River and Warwick race course, Binnum was built in the late 1880’s. The impressive main homestead is constructed of sandstone with its original wrapping veranda.
To keep true to its historical significance, an extension was proposed in the form of a traditional barn. Gently slotting itself between the two existing dwellings, the barn seamlessly connects itself to its surrounding geographical context and compliments the historical elements.
Playing homage to the existing sandstone walls, spectacular views and typology of new and old architecture, the barn will remain timeless among the hills of Warwick.
